Sussex Equine Assisted Practitioner Group

Updated: 1 day ago

In 2025, Natasha from Natural With Horses reached out with an equine management question. We'd connected years back when we ran a Carolyn Resnick Waterhole Rituals clinic and kept in contact - as people in a similar profession do.

What started as a question ended up in reciprocal visits to each other's venues and long chats about our work and the complexities of horse care.

Whilst meeting one time, we realised we can't be alone in needing to share these kinds of conversations. A long time ago, I had run a local practitioner group, so after a long break, the Sussex Equine Assisted Practitioner Group was reborn.

Our first meeting was on 16th April here at HorseSense UK. Several providers of Equine Assisted Services joined us, from all over the South East, to provide collaborative support and learn from each other.

Some wonderful questions were posed and connections were made.

We are delighted to announce we will be repeating the exercise on Sunday 20th September at Natasha's Natural With Horses venue in Ringmer.

The group uses and Intervision approach to support by allowing participants to anonymously write questions for which they would like insight into. The group then takes turns to pose a interospective question to help with creative thinking and problem solving.

This approach can be used for all sorts of questions around this work from how to get clients, to horse care, website set up or meeting the complex needs of a diverse range of customers. Practitioners that work with horses in the South East of England are welcome to reach out and ask more about these sessions that we trust will become bi-annual events across different practitioners venues in Sussex.
