Terms & Conditions

This website is owned and operated by Becci Godfrey (trading as HorseSense UK) and operated by Wix.com. These Terms set forth the terms and conditions under which you may use our website and services as offered by us. This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

What this website offers

This website is our online portal to explain about our business, offer an online booking function and share educational resources around horse behaviour, horse-human interaction and human psychology. By accessing or using the website and the services offered, you approve that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

Who can use our services?

 

This website and the services offered are aimed at supporting individuals, groups and companies to improve their self-awareness, leadership and wellbeing. The advice and suggestions given herein are given in good faith that they are the appropriate for the audience at the time and are to be accepted or dismissed as the individual see's fit.

Participants are only allowed to attend our events (both in-person and online) if they are capable of getting themselves to and from the venue (where necessary), and managing their own physical and mental needs at all times, except in the cases where pre-arrange additional support has been agreed.

By agreeing to use our services, users agree to be responsible for themselves including their physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing through out the duration of the event.

Limitation of liability

 

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall HorseSense UK and those acting on behalf of HorseSense UK, be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including without limitation, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to the use of, or inability to use, the service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HorseSense UK and those acting on behalf of HorseSense UK assume no liability or responsibility for any (i) errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies of content; (ii) personal injury or property damage, of any nature whatsoever, resulting from your access to or use of our service; and (iii) any unauthorized access to or use of our secure servers and/or any and all personal information stored therein.

Commercial terms

When buying an item, you agree that: (i) you are responsible for reading the full item listing before making a commitment to buy it: (ii) you enter into a legally binding contract to purchase an item when you commit to buy an item and you complete the check-out payment process.

The prices we charge for using our services / for our products are listed on the website. We reserve the right to change our prices for products displayed at any time, and to correct pricing errors that may inadvertently occur. Additional information about pricing and any relevant sales tax is available on the bookings or events page.

We may, without prior notice, change the services; stop providing the services or any features of the services we offer; or create limits for the services. We may permanently or temporarily terminate or suspend access to the services without notice and liability for any reason, or for no reason.

Fees

All fees are payable in advance for any service provided. In return for the fees payable by the client (or by a third party on their behalf), HorseSense UK agrees to provide the service as described and in accordance with the terms and conditions set out.

Refunds and cancellations

Unless stated otherwise all events have a 7 day cancellation policy and one to one sessions have a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you are unable to attend an event or session, please get in touch via the Contact Form to let us know. If the cancellation is within the 7 day / 24 hour period, where possible we will try to provide an alternative date or suggest a similar service with a similar value. If this is not possible, then the fee will be forfeit.

In exceptional circumstances, HorseSense UK may need to rearrange an event or session. In these circumstances we will use reasonable endeavours to provide a mutually satisfactory alternative with the client.

Where necessary HorseSense UK may suggest it appropriate to signpost the client to other professionals to better meet their needs. In such a circumstance, the client will be given reasonable notice of termination by where practicable and refunded any advance payments made for the event or sessions not yet provided.

Trademarks and Intellectual Property

All copyright, trademarks, and other intellectual property rights in and relating to HorseSense UK (including the material which is contributed by Users) are owned by HorseSense UK. No-one may copy, distribute, show in public or create any derivative work from this website unless it is properly licensed to do so by us. Any information obtained must not be amended, provided to outside parties or used for any commercial purpose unless otherwise agreed in writing by us. Copywrite infringements found, including text, images, course materials or logos will incur a fee per copywrite breach. 

Media Rights

From time to time HorseSense UK or one of their nominated contractors will take photographs and video images. These are used as a learning aid and may in some instances be used for promotion and marketing purposes. Discretion will be used in which images are used, with preference given to those that protect the individual's identity. If you would prefer not to have your images used in such a way please alert us prior to a workshop or session.

Complaints

If at any point you are unhappy with the product or service you are receiving, please get in touch via the Contact Form. All complaints will be treated with fairness and confidentially. To help us understand the nature of the complaint we may ask you to provide sufficient details of what the complaint is about and what action steps you have already taken. We will endeavour to respond to your complaint in a timely fashion.
