After a summer of no rain, last Friday made up for it with a very wet HorseSense Networking! With the ponies suitably covered in sand, we welcomed a wonderful group of predominantly equine and canine professionals for another fantastic networking event.

The power in these networking events comes from the premise, you come as you are. Authenticity is critical in life, as is the knowledge we're not going to be everyone's cup of tea - and that's ok.

Jim, Dainty and Squirrel graced us for the first part of the networking, but when it came to the exercise part they could have been involved in, they choose to leave. That's what we love about the power of choice, we're allowed to tell our truth and not be judged for it.

For the guest speaker slot, the participants were invited to mirror the other's physiology to understand the emotion they were feeling, followed by finding the limits of each other's energy bubble. Both of these skills are essential with animal interactions to show we understand the feelings and space of the other - necessary when working with animals professionally and enabling the animal to feel safe and heard (people like it too!).

Our thanks go to the horses, our attendees and Barbara Yeo for the event photography.

Our next gathering is our 4th December Christmas party. Join the horses for a hot mulled drink, some mince pies and a treat treasure hunt ending with a Christmas photo to celebrate the year. See you there?
