Service Description

Our beautiful herd of New Forest ponies help children and young people build a better relationship with themselves and others through mindful interactions with horses. Our mission is to make the world a happier and healthier place through experiential learning with horses and nature. Horses are very calming to be around. Through facilitated learning sessions with horses, participants learn to develop their ability to be calm, have empathy, courage, try something new, giving instructions, problem solving, leadership and learning from mistakes. These sessions are deeply nurturing and great for developing emotional intelligence. Some of the activities we offer are: - meeting our herd of New Forest ponies - learning about safety around animals - observing horse behaviours - emotional regulation - making trust-based connections - help with horse care such as grooming - building an obstacle course and walking the horse through it - taking a pony on a forage walk - offering calming oils - learning about horse feeding Please note, these are ground-based sessions, no riding is involved. Sessions can be purchased individually or as a package of 4 sessions to be used within 3 months. These sessions are suitable for children aged 4+ and young adults up to the age of 18. We recommend a guardian attends the first session for those that are 12 and under, after which the sessions are for the child alone. Please get in touch via our contact form if you are interested in a family session for multiple children or both children and adults.
