How do we know what effect trimming has on equine hooves? What feedback can hooves give us about the equine's body?
In this recorded live workshop Nick Hill introduces his protocol for establishing how trimming affects hooves and movement. The protocol is extremely simple and efficient to use with a mobile phone, camera, or pen and paper. Nick will show you how to assess the horses body and then produce schematics of the hoof to influence how you trim. The protocol is a tangible tool that will help bodyworkers and vets with lameness issues and when used on a regular basis acts as a record to validate your the way your horse is trimmed.
Once patterns of movement have been established, it becomes easier to detect any abnormalities and identify and treat problems before they become serious.
